Booking & Payments
Submitting an inquiry does not reserve a date or time. A booking is confirmed only after the experience details have been agreed upon and the required payment has been received.
Birthday Pop-Ins require a $100 nonrefundable reservation payment to reserve the agreed-upon date and time. The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the experience.
Character Grams, Live Video Calls and Personalized YAY! Videos are paid in full when booked.
Any applicable travel fee will be disclosed and agreed upon before the booking is confirmed.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Reservation payments are nonrefundable. With at least 48 hours’ notice, a Birthday Pop-In reservation payment may be transferred one time to another mutually available date.
Cancellations or non-illness rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the reservation payment. A second rescheduling request may require a new reservation payment.
Illness
Because in-person experiences involve close interaction with children and families, clients must notify me as soon as possible if the participating child or someone who will be in close contact during the experience is experiencing symptoms of a potentially contagious illness.
Illness-related bookings may be transferred one time to another mutually available date, even with less than 48 hours’ notice.
If I arrive and discover a potentially contagious illness that was not disclosed beforehand, I reserve the right to decline or end the experience. In that circumstance, the reservation payment will not be refunded.
Timing
Reserved experience time begins at the agreed-upon start time. Delays caused by the client, guests or event schedule may shorten the experience.
If I am delayed, I will communicate as soon as reasonably possible and make every reasonable effort to provide the full booked experience time.
Additional Time
Additional time may be available for in-person experiences at $50 per additional 30 minutes, but is never guaranteed and is subject to my schedule and approval.
Any additional time must be mutually agreed upon before the extension begins.
Adult Supervision & Participation
A parent, legal guardian or responsible adult must remain present throughout all in-person experiences. Can You Say YAY! Experiences does not provide childcare or supervision.
Physical interaction is always based on the child’s comfort. Children are never required to hug, touch, pose with or otherwise physically interact with me.
Specific child reactions, participation levels, activities, songs or interactions cannot be guaranteed. Experiences are intentionally flexible and adapt to the child, setting and circumstances.
Safety
The client is responsible for providing a reasonably safe and appropriate environment for the experience and for supervising children and guests.
I reserve the right to pause or end an experience if conditions become unsafe, threatening, inappropriate or prevent the experience from reasonably continuing. If an experience must be ended because of conditions created by the client, guests or location, payment will not be refunded.
Weather
If severe weather or unsafe travel conditions make an in-person experience unsafe or impractical, the booking may be transferred to another mutually available date.
Outdoor experiences should have an appropriate covered or indoor backup option when weather may interfere.
Photos & Video
Clients are welcome to take photos and short videos for personal use during an experience.
Can You Say YAY! Experiences will not use identifiable photos or video of a child for business marketing without separate permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Cancellation by Ms. K
If I am unable to provide a booked experience, I will make reasonable efforts to reschedule to a mutually agreeable date. If another date cannot be arranged, payments made for that experience will be refunded.
Independent Business Disclaimer
Can You Say YAY! Experiences and Ms. K are independently created and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or associated with Ms. Rachel or her brand. References to a “Ms. Rachel-style” or “Ms. Rachel-inspired” experience describe the general interactive style of the experience only.
Agreement
By submitting the required booking payment and accepting these Terms & Conditions, the client confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these terms.
